Ingredients:
01) 2 cups of pecans
02) 2 tablespoons of butter
03) 1 cup light cream
04) 1 cup of light brown sugar
05) 1 cup of dark brown sugar
Optional Ingredients:
1 tablespoon of red chili pepper will be used as optional ingredient in this traditional Mexican candy recipe.
Now we will see the preparation of this traditional Mexican candy recipe.
Preparation:
Take a saucepan and mix the sugar and cream together in it and for mixing we will use wooden spoon. Now we will stir and blend this very well. Then we will bring the sugar mixture to boil and we will continue to stir this.
Now we want to determine the temperature of it, we will use thermometer to measure the temperature and we will remove the pan from heat when the temperature reaches to 238 degrees of F and this point of stage we will consider this as soft ball stage. Now we will mix it and make it more creamy and smooth which will be about the 5turns of spoon around the pan. In the very next step we will add pecans and the optional ingredient in this and will add this immediately and then we will stir this continually. Now we will drop by spoonfuls onto a cookie sheet with parchment paper. After that when the candies are cool we will wrap them or we may store them using any air tight container or jar just to keep them away from become sticky. Here we have the traditional candies ready to be served just enjoy this.
