Admin Today we are sharing with our Iced Italian holiday cookie recipe, these are the nice and tasty little cookies which you can serve to your family. The shape is easy to be mold and you can shape them the way you like!
The change in the flavor will also work for you to give the different taste! We are very hopeful that these cookies will give you a good taste and your kids will love this! Now we will see the ingredients of this Iced Italian holiday cookie recipe.
Ingredients:
01) 2 tablespoons of vanilla
02) 2 tablespoons of baking powder
03) 1/2 pound butter (softened)
04) 2 large eggs in beaten form
05) 4 cups of flour
06) 1 cup of sugar
Icing Ingredients:
01) 2 tablespoons of milk
02) 1 and 3/4 cups of sugar; use powdered sugar
03) 1 tablespoon anise extract or vanilla or we may use fresh lemon juice ; colored sugar , these ingredients will be used for decoration
Now we will see the preparation of this Iced Italian holiday cookie recipe.
The preparation is very simple, let’s see the preparation!
Preparation:
In the first step we will cream butter and sugar and make it soft and very very creamy! Now we will mix the eggs and vanilla very well.
Now we will combine the flour and baking powder and then we will blend them into the mixture of butter.
Now break off small walnut sized pieces of dough and shape into bows, braids, knots and make the shape of your desire.!
Now we will preheat the oven at 375 degree F until lightly browned about and it will take almost 20 minutes.
Now we will make it cool on the wire racks then ice ad we desire.
For icing; blend the sugar and the flavor of your own choice , and also we will use milk. We will add milk slowly in order to make it more soft. and we will smooth the icing. some ice the cookies while the cookies are still warm and other wait till they are very cool.
